Hi. I'm Ben. I'm a graphic
designer, producer, and DJ
in Brooklyn, New York. I don't like to sleep.
I currently work full-time for a major publisher in Manhattan. You may have seen my work at Barnes & Noble, Borders, the New York Book Show, science museums, airports, and the MoMA Store.
When not serving the publishing industry, I art direct and design all print and digital materials for Fade Records (run by Chris Fortier), Olaris Records (my label), and friskyRecords. I'm also the design and user interface director for friskyRadio and a designer and usability consultant at Proton Radio.

Under the alias Royal Sapien, I've produced songs and remixes signed to Fade Records, Proton Music, Toes In the Sand, and my own Olaris Records in the US, Elektrotribe in Germany, and Arctic Wave in Iceland. My remix of SaltPervert's 5AM Soho on Oxyd Records in Italy reached #1 on the DMC Buzz Chart in the UK and my remix of Funk Harmony Park's "My Truth" on Fade Records was the most requested song on Santa Monica's megastation KCRW for three weeks in a row.
Royal Sapien has fans as diverse as superstar DJs like Jodi from Way Out West and Mike Truman from Hybrid to electronic pop princess Imogen Heap.
